Editing unpublished authors [Jul. 26th, 2006|10:53 am]
Previous Entry Add to Memories Share Next Entry
I've been working with unpublished authors, making structural editing and/or line-editing suggestions, for a little under three years now. Through the fifteen years I worked in London publishing, running SF and Fantasy imprints, I always loved working with authors and it's great to be able to continue that work. Hopefully, I can also give these writers some insight into how commercial publishing actually works, since no one should approach writing without a firm grip on reality. And e-mail - I do over 90% of my editorial work on-screen - makes it easy for overseas writers to approach me. I get quite a few from the US, Australia and Europe. Onwards!
