| Editing unpublished authors |

I've been working with unpublished authors, making structural editing and/or line-editing suggestions, for a little under three years now. Through the fifteen years I worked in London publishing, running SF and Fantasy imprints, I always loved working with authors and it's great to be able to continue that work. Hopefully, I can also give these writers some insight into how commercial publishing actually works, since no one should approach writing without a firm grip on reality. And e-mail - I do over 90% of my editorial work on-screen - makes it easy for overseas writers to approach me. I get quite a few from the US, Australia and Europe. Onwards! |

Hey, John! Mobile phones... livejournals... you'll be getting a skateboard, next!
Avril Lavigne is my heroine and I'm just a sk8er boi...
You know, this is really good motivation for getting off my ass and finishing that novel. | |
